Fathers Day Cards With Stampin’ Up

Good Morning Everyone,

Fathers day is looming around the corner and so is the need to make some cards.  I went to Pinterest to get some inspiration and these are the two cards that  I have come up with.

For these two cards I have used Stampin’ Up Truly Tailored Stamp set (Retired) and the tailored tags punch.  I punched a bunch of patterned paper and created the back ground.  Real quick and easy.  Then I have stamped the sentiment on off white card stack made a quick frame for the sentiment using the stamps from the set on Kraft card stock.  adhered it to the front of the card using Foam adhesive and added button and twine.

These cards were so quick to put together and the punch was so fun to use!

Having fun with Lawn Fawn!

Good Morning everyone!

Yeah! Its FRIDAY!  Woot! Woot!  And today I am so thrilled to share with you two cards that I have created using Lawn Fawn products.  I love Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies.  They are so cute!

My son’s birthday was few days ago and I wanted to create a card from his folks and one from his sister.  I have used Lawn Fawn stamps and die set for Beam me Up.  It is such a cute set.  I have used Distress Oxide Inks to get the galaxy back ground. and spirits it with some water to make the “stars”.  I have also used Avery Elle Circle Frame die to get the random circles cut.  The monsters from the Beam Me Up set was stamped in Memento Black Ink and then coloured with my Copic markers.  Oh I added googly eyes to make it fun!

Here how it turned out:

To cute right?!

Now the one from his folks (Ie myself and my Hubby).  I tried the alcohol inks that is the in thing to use lately.  To be honest I had these for some time and I was too afraid to use them.  I finally picked up some Yupo paper and had a lot of fun using them.  I will use them more often for sure.  With the Beam Me Up set I also used the Out of This World Stamp and Die set as well as the Cloud Die.  The stamped images were stamped with Black Memento Ink and then Coloured with my Copics.  Used googly eyes on the monsters.  Also used the Happy Birthday Die from Simon Says Stamp.

LOVE!  LOVE!  LOVE how this card turned out!

These cards were so fun!  Really fun to make and my boy loved them!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I truly hope you have enjoyed this post.

Keep on Crafting!

Craft Room Organization

Good Morning Everyone,

Well I have tackled the dreaded organizing of my craft room.  I have so many colour mediums that I need them out and in my face to use them.  I f I had put them away and not in my sight I will never use them.  I wanted something inexpensive.  So I went to pinterst and found this idea in using I pipe.  Thank fully my Hubby had one for my needs and he was super nice in making me one.  And he even painted it!

I am so over the moon with it!  So many spaces to fill!  And fill it I did!

I have organized all my markers in rainbow colour and this so works for me!  Now I can see what I have and start using them!

For my pencil crayons I had these Ikea kitchen utensil storage containers and I have hot glued them on a Lazy Susan I bout at the Dollarama.

I tried organizing them by what type of pencils they are.  IE water-colour, polychromos, etc.  I will definitely use my pencils more often now!

Then my dreaded wood mount stamps.  Poor things hardly ever get used because they were buried and a pain to dig out.  My Hubby to the rescue!  He gave me his CD cases and mounted it on the wall for me!

Now I can finally see what I have and there is no excuse not to use them.  Gosh!  I didn’t realize how many I have!  Opps!  LOL!

Well there you have it folks.  Some organization is finally happening which means soon more crafting!  Yeah!

I would like to thank you for stopping by and don’t forget to keep on crafting!

Using items from my stash

Good morning everyone,

Today I would like to share with you three cards that I have created using supplies I have on hand.  I believe that I fell in the trap of buying supplies and actually using them are two different hobbies.  LOL!

Here are the cards……

I used pink and light grey card stock as well as this gorgeous background stamp from Hero Arts.  It was screaming use me.  I stamped in the image offset and heat embossed it in either white or gold embossing powder.  Then the sentiment was from a Simon Says Stamp die and stamp set Floral Bliss.  These cards are really quick and easy to create.

I was very happy to start looking through my stash and find these awesome hidden gems!

Again thank you for stopping by and don’t forget to keep on crafting!

Wedding Cards Using Simon Says Stamp Floral Bliss

Good day everyone,

Today I would like to share with you two cards I have created using the Simon Says Stamp Floral Bliss.  This stamp set is just gorgeous! It’s an oldie but a goodie!

The first card I have cased it from Prairie Paper and Ink.  I loved how this card turned out when Amy did it.  So I wanted to give it a try.  I did change it up a bit in regards to the papers that was used.  First with the floral stamp I heat embossed it in gold.  Then I finally broke out my Fintec Mica Watercolour iridescent paints.  They were sitting on my shelf waiting to be used!  Layered the back ground with some floral papers and here you go.  Here is how mine turned out….

I think it turned out so pretty!

For the next card I wanted to create a single layer card.  I have used a burgundy card stock as the base and heat embossed the corners using the floral stamp in gold.  Trimmed the bottom off a bit and added the gold.  I thought this one turned out nice as well.

This card was pretty quick to create.

Well there you have it.  Another set of wedding cards.  Which seems fitting since wedding season is upon us.

Thank you again for stopping by and keep on crafting.

Wedding cards using Hero Arts Layering Peacock Stamp

Good morning everyone,

Today I would like to show you a couple of cards that I have created with the Hero Arts Layering Peacock stamp.  This stamp set is so very easy to use.  The set I have has matching dies as well.  The peacock is just stunning!

First I have created the peacock using the easy layering stamps with my Misti Stamp positoner.  This was very easy and quick to do.  Then I have die cut the Peacock with the matching die.  I have also stamped its legs and die cut those as well.

Then I have created two different back grounds.  The first one I used blue card stock and stamped the feathers that came in the set with Verso mark ink and heat embossed it in gold.  Trimmed the back ground with some cold on the top and bottom. Assembled the card and here it is….

For the sentiments I used Simon Says Stamp Floral Bliss.  Oh I also added some shimmer to the tail and some sequences to the background.

For the next one I did the same with the background except I used clear embossing powder and burgundy background.  I have also trimmed the right side of the card in gold.

I have to admit at first I was intimidated on using the Hero Arts Layering stamp set.  But once I got the hang of it I really like how easy it was to use.

Once again I would like to thank you for stopping by. And remember to keep on Crafting!
